Paige E. Eggleston

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

A notable throughline in Paige’s professional career includes work in the public sector.  It’s where she gained an appreciation for the good and often-overlooked value that all levels of government have in daily life.  As a member of the firm’s Employment & Labor practice group, Paige focuses on a variety of matters, including employee discipline, disability and other leave matters, issues pertaining to collective bargaining, and matters reviewed by the Maine Human Rights Commission.   Paige is also a member of the Government Services practice group, where her work overlaps with Employment & Labor, given the firm’s long-standing history of municipal clients.  In addition, Paige assists with a broad range of matters within the firm’s Litigation practice group.

“Above all, I enjoy resolving conflicts and achieving effective solutions.  My fundamental goal is to serve the best interests of my clients while both ensuring legal compliance and addressing the basic problems they have identified. Even complex legal matters can often have attainable and pragmatic outcomes, and my job is to help my clients reach those results.”

For five years prior to law school, Paige worked for U.S. Senator Susan Collins in the Senator’s Bangor and Washington, D.C. offices.  In Washington, Paige managed Senator Collins’s schedule for her Maine-related travel and activities.  Prior to that role, Paige was a staff assistant, specializing in immigration and housing casework related to the Senator’s constituents.

Paige grew up in Portland and later graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in English, minor in Psychology, and Honors College distinction.  She was inducted into both Phi Beta Kappa and All Maine Women.  In 2019, Paige was a recipient of the University of Maine Alumni Association’s Rising Star Award.  She received her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor for the Maine Law Review, competed in two moot court competitions, and served as both Vice President of the Student Bar Association and as an Executive Board Member of the Women’s Law Association.  During law school, Paige worked at both the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maine and the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office.
