Jennifer L. Kruszewski

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Jennifer L. Kruszewski began practicing law in May of 2006.  Formerly a partner at a boutique trusts and estates firm, Jennifer joined Jensen Baird in March of 2026.  A Vermonter by birth, but a Mainer at heart, Jennifer grew up in Windham, Maine and graduated from Catherine McAuley High School in Portland, Maine.  After graduating from college, Jennifer served as an AmeriCorps Member and the coordinator of an AmeriCorps program assisting elderly persons and adults with disabilities.  Through this experience, she learned the importance of estate planning—seeing the difference that a Power of Attorney or an Advance Health-Care Directive could make in fostering independence motivated Jennifer to pursue a career in the law.

“The human element of estate planning has always driven me.  Very few clients sit down and tell me that their primary concern is estate or income tax. Instead, I hear stories about families, pets, beloved friends, and places or charitable causes that have meaning for them. I listen to their worries about what will happen after they pass, and I try to make each estate plan as wholistic and customized as possible, handcrafting written legacies that will uplift the people, places, and charities that they love.  I have the privilege of seeing life through their eyes, and it’s an honor to bear witness to that.”

Jennifer is a frequent speaker on estate planning, estate administration, charitable giving and other related topics.  She currently lives in Portland, Maine with her husband, their daughter and their Golden Retriever.  Jennifer is an avid perennial gardener.  She shares her daughter’s passion for art, and primarily works in soft pastels.
