Jeffrey B. Herbert

Real estate developers and investors face a wide array of complicated issues and Jeff, a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, provides a detailed approach and pragmatic solutions for his clients.    Jeff’s practice focuses on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate development, including entity formation, acquisition, permitting and approvals, construction, financing, leasing, title insurance, and sales.  Jeff’s clients include residential and commercial condominium developers, landlords, tenants, cellular tower and solar energy developers, as well as small business owners and franchisees.  Jeff also represents local and national lending institutions in a wide array of loan and loan modification transactions, including SBA guaranteed loans.  Leveraging his over twenty years of legal experience with his business acumen in real estate development and asset management, Jeff provides responsive clear-cut solutions to all aspects of his clients’ business and real estate needs.

Jeff joined Jensen Baird for the opportunity to work with a great group of attorneys committed to offering exceptional legal service.  Prior to joining Jensen Baird, Jeff worked for other Portland law firms.  He was first admitted to practice law in Maine in 1999, and spent three years as a Real Estate Manager for Hannaford Bros. Co., where he had responsibility for projects located in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and throughout New England.

Jeff lives in Westbrook with this wife and three children and has been active volunteering as a youth sports coach in the Westbrook Community.  When Jeff is not working he enjoys spending time with his family and friends watching and attending all variety of sporting events and committing endless hours to his passion for golf.
