David P. Ginzer

David is an experienced litigator focusing his practice on complex civil litigation, construction claims, real estate litigation, and insurance defense. David recognizes the stress and costs litigation can impose on individuals and businesses and strives to keep the end goal in mind and implement strategies to seek the most successful outcome possible for his clients. 

David was born in Naperville, Illinois, and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He received a bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, and his law degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In law school he worked as a research assistant for Professor Timothy Davis in the areas of sports law and contracts, as well as interned at Forsyth County Public Defender’s Office.

David began his legal career as an assistant public defender in Stuart, Florida, where he gained substantial trial experience representing indigent clients in criminal cases, including matters punishable by life in prison. He went on to represent businesses and individuals in commercial foreclosure, loan workout, and special asset litigation, and later expanded his practice at an international firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, representing financial institutions in state and federal courts nationwide. Since relocating to Maine in 2018, David has brought that broad litigation background to a litigation practice focused on construction, real estate, insurance defense, and contract disputes.

David enjoys skiing during the winter, golfing, and spending his free time with his wife and son.
