David J. Jones

Of Counsel

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

David is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Land Use & Permitting Practice Groups where his practice has spanned four decades and is an exercise in research, creativity, and persuasion.  He represents and advises business entities, individuals, banks, other commercial lenders, and title insurers in matters relating to real estate transactions, entity formation, business acquisitions, commercial lending, and resolution of title problems and disputes.  Whether tracking down a former title holder’s descendants or researching the history of a private road into the 18th century, David enjoys offering his expertise to help solve the unique puzzles that can arise for his clients.  His business clients appreciate his practical advice and commitment to getting things done.

“I build client relationships project by project, and being responsive to the client’s needs is paramount.  Clients need help when they need it, not when it is convenient to me as their lawyer.  It gives me a sense of pride that my clients know they can pick up the phone and call me for prompt and cost effective representation.

David has taught real estate law courses and has presented at a number of seminars relating to real estate law.

He is a resident of Kennebunk, Maine, where he practices in the firm’s York County office.
