Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights

Jensen Baird’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group is in the forefront of Maine’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights legal community, providing practical and prompt advice for clients facing both simple and complex issues that can arise when one party owes a debt to another.  Outside of the bankruptcy arena, we represent both debtors and creditors in negotiating, restructuring, and otherwise collecting or paying these debts. We also represent clients in chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy cases on a daily basis, primarily providing our services to both individual and institutional creditors, including municipalities and other public entities, in a wide range of such cases.  We have particular expertise in dealing with secured debtors, whether the collateral be real estate, equipment, third party obligations, or other items of value.

Jensen Baird works on these matters both in and outside of State and Federal Courts.  Sensitive to the stress which debt situations can create for both debtors and creditors, we offer creative solutions that are cost-effective and reflective of the client’s needs and goals.
